Ik heb inmiddels de specs binnengekregen, en het gaat ondertussen om een ander type:

HP nx5000

1,6 GHZ pentium M (is dat Centrino?)
2*256MB geheugen
Intel extreme graphics 2
Combo drive
40 GB hdd
Bluetooth, 802.11g/b integrated
SD card reader (zo raar, alleen maar SD)

Dit voor de prijs van 1450 euro incl. btw (ex accesoires/verzekering)

Loopt "langzamer" naarmate batterij leger wordt.

Zijn de verschillen dan duidelijk te merken, of merk je dat alleen bij benchmarks ?

Enne, is dat ding met volle accu net zo snel als Centrino ?

Dit zijn denk ik zelf intresantere laptops.
Vooral de ati mobile 9700 in combinatie met de 2 mb 1.5ghz centrino.
Lijkt me best hard gaan.
Maar ik weet niet of je ook zelf een kan kopen en dan op school gebruiken.
Bij ons op school wel.
Dat was even naar de leraar stappen die daar netwerk regelden enzevoorts.
Gaf hem 20 euro en hij zou voor mij windows erop zetten met alle netwerk instellingen enzevoorts.
En zo gemaakt zodat ik thuis via netwerk op internet kan.

Er zijn dus duidelijk mensen die het niet snappen:

Centrino is geen CPU. Centrino is een Type aanduiding. Centrino bestaat uit: Intel Chipset, Intel Pentium Mobile (M), en de pentium wireless chip (11mbit). Als een machine dat bevat, mag de fabrikant er een centrino sticker opplakken. Dus een laptop zonder wirelees netwerk, zal nooit een centrino sticker kunnen hebben.

Helaas kan ik dat dus niet, en moet ik het met het aanbod van school doen!

The notebooks use the Intel 855GM (Montara) chipset. The chipset supports DDR333 PC2700 SDRAM memory modules and a 400MHz front side bus (FSB). The chipset provides an MCH-M North Bridge and the ICH4-M South Bridge.
The North Bridge includes the Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (Montara GM) graphics controller. It also supports the memory modules.

The ICH4-M South Bridge has an integrated EHCI USB2.0 controller with support for a Bluetooth device. It has a PCI bus that interfaces a MiniPCI connector-used for WLAN cards-and a TI TSB43AB22A 1394 controller. The PCI bus also provides an interface for a Broadcom 4401M LAN and a TI PCI6420 Cardbus controller, the latter of which supports both PC cards and an SD card.

The South Bridge has a Low Pin Count (LPC) bus that connects most of the system's IO devices, such as the Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMsC) LPC47N250 keyboard controller and the SMsC LPC47227 Super I/O controller, which handles the serial and parallel ports as well as the HP HDSL3600 Infrared LED module.

The South Bridge also has an AC'97 link that connects an MDC modem and an ADI ADI1981B codec audio controller. Finally, it has a two-channel IDE interface capable of ATA 100.

The architecture supports a connection to the optional Port Replicator and Advanced Port Replicator.
