Well,... by looking at the pics, it's not a full 90 degree twist. It looks like to twisted it just enough to achieve the effect without running into to many problems with sealing. I wanted to have odd shapes like this inside but its very hard to get the shapes to fit so that they are flush so they seal properly and are strong once sealed. When you twist the acrylic like that,... it's diameter shrinks. The more you twist it the more it shrinks. So you would have to start off with something a bit larger then the inside diameter of the tube. The whole thing it getting the sides to sit flush,... im going to have to try something like this later,..... see if I can figureout an easy way to do stuff like this.
